Front End Developer

The Person We Seek
AgTerra is seeking a talented Front-End UI/UX Specialist to craft exceptional user experiences across web and mobile platforms (Android and iOS). In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of intuitive interfaces that empower field workers and land managers and field workers throughout North America. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers and back-end developers to design and implement engaging, user-centric interfaces for our core products.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for building and implementing visually appealing, user-centric interfaces that enhance usability and engagement. The person will also collaborate closely with designers and back-end developers to ensure seamless performance and user satisfaction across all devices and browsers. We are looking for the right candidate who with the following abilities:
UI/UX Design & Development
- Translate user stories, wireframes, and mockups into engaging, responsive, and accessible user interfaces.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine user experiences continuously.
Front-End Implementation
- Utilize HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) to create high-performance web interfaces.
- Build and maintain React-based applications, ensuring cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
Mobile Development
- Develop mobile application UI for Android and iOS (native or cross-platform).
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with product owners, back-end developers, and stakeholders to deliver well-rounded solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions, providing guidance to junior developers when needed.
Best Practices & Innovation
- Follow industry standards and internal guidelines to maintain code quality and readability.
- Stay updated on new front-end technologies, UI trends, and UX best practices, sharing insights to drive innovation.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- 2+ years in front-end/UI development, showcasing responsive design and user-centric solutions.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your UI/UX expertise and coding capabilities.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
- Proficiency with React or similar frameworks (Angular, Vue).
- Familiarity with Android and iOS development.
- Experience with version control (Git) and build tools (Webpack, Babel).
- Knowledge of UX design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Passion for driving usability and innovation.
